Fire, Fire!

After we had made our houses from cardboard boxes, we took them outside.

We wanted to bring the story of The Great Fire of London to life, to have an idea of what it was like in 1666.

Mr. Rilings came outside with us to keep us safe and we set our boxes on fire!!

We were very excited! Have a look at these pictures and videos!

We have been recycling ourselves in our class. We have used boxes from food and objects to make our own houses! These are our houses from the great fire of London! We used lollypop sticks to make windows and door frames.

Next time you put a food box in the recycling bin, think about whether you could recycle it yourselves by making a model from it like we have!
Here are some photos of us making them and some of our houses that are finished.

After we learnt all about what recycling means, we decided to make some posters to help others learn about it too!

Here are some of our posters.

What a load of Rubbish!

This week is Science Week!

To start off the week, we sorted items into recycling and non-recycling. We learnt about what happens to items that are recycled and about the bins we use to recycle objects in. We were also looking for the recycle sign on our items.

Can you think of some things that can be recycled?

Here are some photos of us sorting our items and looking for the recycle signs!
